That means you can take them in and out of your mouth while you brush and floss, as well as while you eat. Invisalign is designed for people who need to have their teeth straightened, or have their teeth respaced. It can also correct some bite problems as well, such as a mild overbite. How Does Invisalign Work?If you decide you want Invisalign, you would need to come into our office. Then, we would take pictures of your teeth, and x-rays. We would use those photographs and x-rays to make invisible aligners for your teeth. We set up a treatment program for you. Invisalign works to straighten or correct the spacing on one or two teeth at a time, rather than your whole mouth. You need to come in and have your teeth checked and a new set of aligners placed every two months. What Are The Advantages of Invisalign?There are several advantages to Invisalign. First, because of the way Invisalign works, the treatment time to straighten your teeth is about six months shorter on average than traditional braces. There are no metal wires or brackets either. This means those pesky wires and brackets won’t cut into your cheeks or gums. Also, Invisalign allows you to continue to practice good dental health. You can remove the Invisalign aligners to brush and floss your teeth. Sometimes, brushing and flossing can be difficult with traditional braces. Many people have to have their teeth whitened after braces because of the stains left on their teeth. Invisalign is also cheaper than traditional braces as well.
